Abide in the Truth

. . . but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. —1 John 2:27

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. —John 15:7 The anointing you have within you is there to teach you all things. It is to guide you into all truth. What is the result of being taught by the anointing? “You will abide in Him.” The truth will bring you into a level of oneness that makes you like-minded with God, so that you can abide in Him, and He in you. A daily presence of God will come into your life, along with a daily awareness of that Presence. You will be continually connected to His thoughts, His plans, His will, and His purpose. You shall abide in Him when you abide in the truth!

Be Taught the Truth

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie . . . —1 John 2:27

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth. —John 16:13 The anointing that you have received will teach you all things. The “all things” to be taught to you is all truth. The anointing that is in you is truth, the Word is truth, and the Holy Spirit is called by Jesus “the Spirit of Truth.” Why does God want to teach you the whole truth and nothing but the truth? Because the more of the truth you know, the more set free you become from the works of darkness. The Teacher will slowly remove all error out of your thought life, anything that does not line up with the Word of God. As you continue in the Word, you will become a disciple (someone who is disciplined to be living in agreement with the Word), and you will know the truth and the truth will make you free! Allow the Spirit of God to show you any error that is in your thought life, then repent and turn to the truth! “Holy Spirit, show me and teach me today!”

Be Taught of the Lord

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. —John 14:26 The anointing you have of God is in you to teach you all things. You have a Teacher, an Educator of spiritual things, living in you, all day, every day. You have the ability to be taught of the Lord through out your day. Many are taught by trials, hardships, and setbacks, but God fully intended to teach you Himself, by the Holy Spirit, who is the anointing within you. His desire is to teach you all things. Spend some time each day with the Word of God and the Spirit of God. Spiritual class is in session—not only on Sunday mornings, but all the time! You have a continual, permanent Teacher with and in you always. Class is now in session! Expect to be taught!

The Indwelling Spirit

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you.

Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
—2 Corinthians 1:21–22

The anointing that you have came from God. It was His desire to re-create you as a holy and righteous “temple,” or “house” of God (1 Corinthians 3:16–17). This anointing you have abides, lives, and dwells in you. It is not mind power or soul power, but it is super- natural “God-power.” You now have the spiritual equipment needed to live a victorious life. All you will ever need is already in you by the Holy Spirit, but you must learn to cooperate and work with that ability. What a privilege to be anointed of God and taught by that anointing! The more aware you become of the anointing that you have, the more that anointing will work in your life. “I have the anointing!”
